Bebe’s Country Weddings is a small family business, proudly Australian owned and use local suppliers to help grow country Queensland.

We travel to all corners of Australia and beyond! Our closest wedding has been here on our picturesque 81 acre farm overlooking Somerset Dam, and thus far our furthest has been in San Diego, California USA.

Wedding and Event Planning- Your personal assistant from beginning to end, giving you endless industry advice from over 15 years experience, ensures all the details are covered creating the day you have envisioned!

Wedding Ceremonies- Custom designed, created and installed at any location you desire from your backyard to our exclusive country properties.

Table Styling- Elegant country atmosphere created for your guests to enjoy, custom designed to suit your style and venue. With cloths, glassware and full place settings perfectly in place.

Lighting Design- Atmosphere is created with a unique lighting design to suit your style and venue. Custom to suit your requirements including lighting hire and installation.

Bridal Bouquets- With a love of natives and country gardens, personally designed fresh floral bouquets, flower crowns and horse wreaths unique to your style and harmonised with your venue styling.

Floral Installations- Unique and creative, there are endless options for design. A simple arch to a ceiling full of colour. Custom designed to suit your venue.

Hire Items- A vast collection of unique antique furniture and styling props are available in all custom packages, the possibilities are endless. If we don’t have it we will find it through industry connections or being very resourceful.

 

Director and Head Stylist – Bebe Jecis-Swadling

Starting with your vision and ending with your extraordinary, delightful and completely personalised wedding or event, Bebe specialises in interpreting your style and transforming your desires into the day you’ve always dreamed of. With over 10 years experience in the events industry, she’s well known for her distinctive style and detailed approach to planning your wedding or event exactly as you wish, but with more care and creativity than you can imagine. You can count on Bebe to deliver the kind of above-and-beyond customer service experience that will have you turning to her for all your future celebrations.

 

Experience

Bebe started her career after graduating year 12 then studied fine arts, CGI & animation. From there she took time off to travel on a gap year to various countries to explore and seek out historic and modern artistic locations for inspiration including London, Paris and New York.

By walking off the street into the Brisbane office of Staging Connections, a world wide corporate events company, with her art portfolio back in 1999 saw Bebe secure her first position in the Events Industry. Starting at the bottom of the ladder as a casual crew member in the Set & Display department she gained more skills and naturally progressed to full time crew leader and furthermore to Set & Display warehouse and stock control manager.

Here she gained the opportunity to work in the most exclusive hotels in Brisbane including The Stamford Plaza, Hilton and Sheraton and 100’s of other event venues and locations across Queensland and Australia, styling gala dinners, conferences, product launches and high-end weddings.

From the fast paced and massive budget world of the corporate events industry she then slowed the pace just a little, moved to Kirra and worked for a small family company on the Gold Coast where she styled and decorated up to 20 weddings and small events each week.

The corporate events world and the opportunity to work for another large Australia wide events company in Brisbane drew her back into Moreton Hire where she managed the operations side of the stock control department and transport logistics of a large amount of interstate company stock transfers.

After over 10yrs in the events industry she used her experience and various skills she had obtained to spend time working for building management company Star Building in Brisbane, a Stock Controller and Department Supervisor for Australia’s largest wholesale plant nursery Pohlmans and a logistics assistant at a bulk transport company, Wilsons. Which is family owned in the Somerset Region.

Our Journey

Established in 2011 after our move to Somerset Dam in Queensland we decided to help out with local weddings and events. With Bebe’s vast experience in weddings, events, stock control and logistics the business was naturally formed. This brought a new service to the Somerset Region and we also travelled to rural country Australia in many states.

Operating for a number of years from just word of mouth referrals, which are the best form of advertising out here in the country, we decided to reach out and help other couples plan and style their special day.

Proudly our high reputation has been set from the designs and styling we have created for many clients and we love to keep raising the bar and involving ourselves in new trends, new inspiration, industry studies and personal development.
